Laboratory Safety, Lab Rules and Regulations, Laboratory Supervision requirements, Parameters and Testing Procedures for: Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Standard Solutions, Metric Systems, Alkalinity, Ph, Turbidity, Chlorine test, Hardness test, Jar Test, Calcium Carbonate and Stability Test. Hands on practical water tests will be conducted and evaluated on the last day of class.

Distribution and Collection Technician - An introduction to collection & distribution operator safety to include trenching/excavation, HAZCOM, confined space and working in traffic. Operation and maintenance of water distribution systems to include disinfection. Operation and maintenance of wastewater collection systems. DEQ rules and regulations will also be covered.
