    The perfect course for anyone wanting to learn to quilt or those with minimal quilting skills. Instruction on machine use, basic techniques, and quilting procedures will be given. Projects for this class include a quilt and other craft projects. 

 

  • Colored Pencil Explorations

    Students will explore many foundational colored pencil techniques including surface choices, layering, blending, burnishing, impressed line, textures, and use of solvents.

    Step by step lessons will be included in the course to develop skills and confidence.  Students may also explore their own subject matter with guidance from the instructor.

    Whether you are a beginner or need to perfect more advanced skills, this opportunity provides the space, equipment, and atmosphere needed to expand your creativity. The Rose State quilting room will be open for three hours during the afternoon to all skill levels. The space will be supported by an Educational Mentor familiar with the equipment and subject matter of quilting, but limited formal instruction will be available. This is meant to be additional time and access to equipment and space for those wanting extra time to complete projects.
