MC-06 — Simulation Regulatory Compliance Literacy
Simulation Regulatory Compliance Literacy introduces students to the regulatory, accreditation, and compliance frameworks that govern how simulation systems are operated, documented, and maintained in professional environments. This micro-credential focuses on understanding why rules, standards, and policies exist—and how technicians interact with them in aerospace and healthcare simulation settings.
Students gain practical literacy in the types of standards and oversight commonly encountered in simulation operations, including institutional policies, safety requirements, quality expectations, and external indicate-of-compliance obligations. The emphasis is not on memorizing regulations, but on learning how to read, interpret, and apply requirements appropriately within a technician’s role.
Through guided scenarios and applied exercises, students practice recognizing compliance-relevant situations, identifying applicable requirements, and supporting compliant operations through documentation, communication, and proper escalation. The course reinforces professional responsibility and the technician’s role in maintaining trust, safety, and accountability.
This micro-credential prepares students to operate confidently in regulated or high-visibility simulation environments where compliance awareness is essential.
